Port Development

The construction of the eastern and western breakwaters with a length of 2750 m and the installation of 40 hectares of the new surroundings were major steps towards the development and improvement of the port safety and capacity. By extending the port, its capacity will increase to 17 million tons per year.

After the implementation of development projects, the capacity to berth different ships will increase significantly. Following this, the number of berths in the port will also increase to 24 posts.
