Description of the Duties of the Coastal and Ports
Engineering Department
1.
Field monitoring of coastal, marine and lagoon structures and facilities in
Guilan province;
2.
Organizing the meetings of the Guilan Province Coastal Organization and
Management Committee;
3.
Organizing meetings of the working group for inspection and monitoring of
the coasts of Guilan province;
4.
Holding expert and specialized meetings to review the reports and output of
studies of the second phase of the comprehensive plan of Anzali port in
accordance with the Vision Document in 1404 Horizon (2025 AD);
5.
Carrying out matters related to issuing licenses for offshore structures
and facilities;
6.
Management of marine characteristics measurement equipment (wave detector
buoys, level gauge, meteorological station, etc.);
7.
Reviewing and responding to requests for obtaining information from marine
characteristics measurement equipment (in collaboration with the General
Directorate of Coastal and Port Engineering);
8.
Cooperation with the General Directorate of Coastal and Port Engineering
regarding the studies related to the recreation of city-port interaction (Anzali
and Astara Ports);
9.
Planning and monitoring the implementation of construction dredging
operations in Guilan province;
10.
Planning and monitoring the implementation of hydrographic operations
required by the Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province;
11.
Cooperation in the implementation of the Integrated Coastal Zone Management
Plan;
12.
Updating the Geographic Information System (GIS);
13.
1 Issuance of drilling permits and determining the location of investment
projects, contracting projects (repairs, reconstruction and renovation) and
port development projects.
