Introduction of Marketing and Investment
Services Department and its duties towards Special Zones
The Marketing and Investment Services
Department in the Special Zones Affairs Sector is responsible for the General
Administration's policies regarding all processes and the removal of obstacles
and administrative problems through a memorandum of understanding with the
organization in charge of the zone. The main tasks of this department are as
follows:
1-
Reviewing
all executive instructions and processes in the port free and special zones;
2-
Sending the
latest amendments to the notification and executive instructions in the port
free and special zones;
3-
Supervising
the proper and complete implementation of the instructions of the port areas in
Anzali and Astara ports;
4-
Continuous
monitoring and evaluation of all activities and executive processes regarding
the special zone affairs, documentary services of port terminals, private
warehouses and support and operational lands of the port;
5-
Designing
and setting all the formats required for use in port areas;
6-
Examining
the documents as well as correspondence with the responsible organization of
the zone in order to register the order and also receiving the license for the
consumption of raw materials and the license for the operation of vehicles,
equipment and machinery in the port areas.

1.Possibility of
unlimited investment for domestic and foreign investors;
2.A fifteen-year income and property tax exemption for
those who receive economic activity license;
3.Guaranteeing foreign
investments and profits thereof in the free zone in accordance with the Foreign
Investment Protection and Promotion law enacted on 09.03.2001;
4.Free entry and
exit of capital in the Free Zone according to the above-mentioned law;
5.Import of
machinery, spare parts, capital vehicles, raw materials and construction
