348% Growth in Non-Oil exports and 66% Growth in Cargo Loading and Unloading Volume in Anzali Port
The Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province announced a 66 percent increase in loading and unloading volume, as well as a 348 percent increase in non-oil exports in the first twenty days of Farvardin 1399 (SH) compared to the same period last year in Anzali Port.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province, Dr. Hamid Reza Abaie, the Director General, referring to the growth of loading and unloading volume at the beginning of 1399, stated: "in the first twenty days of 1399, the volume of loading and unloading of goods in Anzali port was 90,000 tons, which is a 66% increase compared to the same period last year."

Regarding the increase in the volume of non-oil exports, he added: "the performance of non-oil exports of Anzali Port during the mentioned period at the beginning of 1399 has grown significantly and has increased by 348% compared to the same period last year."

The Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province also announced a 24% increase in the number of vessels entering the Anzali Port during the mentioned period compared to the same period last year, noting that despite the outbreak of corona disease, with the establishment of preventive measures and double efforts of the workers of the companies, terminal operators and employees of Anzali and Astara ports, the port and maritime activities of Guilan ports and providing services to customers continue 24 hours a day and without stopping and these ports play an important role in meeting the needs of the market, especially basic goods and grains.

It is worth mentioning that in 1398, the export of goods in the ports of Guilan province showed a significant growth compared to 1397 and despite the oppressive US sanctions against Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of maritime trade, exports of non-oil goods increased by 11% and exports of goods in the ports of Guilan increased by 5% during the last year.
