The Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province announced a 5% growth of exports in the ports of Guilan Province and said: "We have the ability to berth all vessels carrying Caspian Sea goods in the ports of Guilan Province."
According to the Public Relations Department of Ports
and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province, Dr. Hamidreza Abaie stated on the
sidelines of his visit to the Astara Port Complex: "last year, exports of
goods in Anzali Port and Astara Port Special Economic Zone showed a significant
growth."
The Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority
of Guilan Province, referring to the 24-hour activity of the ports of Guilan
Province and providing round the clock services to the cargo owners, added: "Due
to the naming of this year's slogan by the Supreme Leader as "Production
Leap", the ports of Anzali and Astara will continue to operate with
strength and solidity."
Referring to the measures taken in the ports of
Guilan province in order to prevent Corona disease, Abaie stated: "in the
ports of Guilan province, all incoming and outgoing vehicles to the ports are
disinfected in a fully planned and regular manner."
Stating that that all port areas are being
disinfected by the safety unit and relevant experts, the director of the Astara
Port Special Economic Zone said: "fortunately, with the tireless efforts of specialized
personnel in the ports of Guilan to carry out continuous disinfection of goods
in the port area, we have not had a single case of coronavirus."
Emphasizing that the implementation of health and
preventive measures by the Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province has
caused the consolation of the target ports in the exchange of goods with Iran,
Abaie said: "fortunately, in
this regard, the Caspian Sea Littoral States have trade relations with the ports
of Guilan and safely deliver their goods."
Referring to the latest US sanctions against
Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of maritime trade, he said: "a total
of 1.9 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded in Anzali and Astara
ports last year due to the strategic location of Guilan ports."
Stating that due to oppressive sanctions, we had a
16 percent decrease in imports last year, the Director General of Ports and
Maritime Authority of Guilan Province added: "In terms of exports, we have
grown by 5 percent in the ports of Guilan province. In this regard, it can be
said that the ports of Guilan have the ability to accommodate all the vessels carrying
the cargos of the Caspian Sea."
Pointing out that one of the duties and
responsibilities of the Ports and Maritime Organization, especially at this
critical time, is to interact with the city and port, Abaie said: "last
month, the Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province, with the
cooperation and support of the Ports and Maritime Organization, has purchased
individual health care equipment as well as medical equipment for Anzali and
Astara hospitals."
He stated that the value of the health and medical
equipment donated to Astara and Anzali hospitals is more than one billion and
400 million Tomans and said: "God willing, with the support of the Ports
and Maritime Organization, the second part of donations will also be donated."
