The Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province, in a meeting with the CEO of Sina Marine and Port Services Company, stating that we have witnessed significant growth in the field of loading, unloading and exporting, added: "we have witnessed 54% growth in non-oil exports, 67% growth in loading and unloading, and 55% growth in the number of incoming ships compared to the same period last year".

Province, on the evening of Tuesday, July 7, 2020, the CEO of Sina Marine and
Port Services Company and his accompanying delegation visited the capabilities,
infrastructure and investment projects of Anzali Port Complex and met the
Director of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province to discuss future
cooperation.
Dr. Hamidreza Abaie, while explaining investment opportunities in the ports
of Guilan province, said: "The importance of the sea and its impact on the
economy and human life is undeniable and today the upward trend of trade in the
Caspian littoral states is more tangible".
Referring to the reasons for the upward trend of trade in the Caspian Sea
littoral states and detailed explanations about it, he added: "Anzali port
as the oldest and most significant port on the southern shore of the Caspian
Sea has always been considered as a brand in the Caspian Sea littoral states
and an important port for merchants, traders and shipping lines in north of
Iran".
The Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province,
stating that despite the outbreak of Corona virus and oppressive sanctions
against Iran, the country's ports have played a major role in meeting the needs
of the people, noted: "Last year, we saw 5% growth in the field of exports
from ports of Guilan province".
Abaie stated that until today, we have seen a significant growth in the
field of unloading and loading, as well as the export of goods compared to the
same period last year, clarified: "we have witnessed 54% growth in non-oil
exports, 67% growth in loading and unloading, and 55% growth in the number of
incoming ships compared to the same period last year".
Referring to the investment opportunities of Anzali port complex and its
development programs, he acknowledged: "Guilan ports have the ability to
berth all types of ships carrying goods from the Caspian Sea –especially basic
goods and grains- and can play a greater role in meeting the needs of the
market".
It is worth mentioning that in this meeting, the CEO of Sina Marine and
Port Services Company, while thanking Anzali Port for hosting, stated that they
welcome the opportunities and attractions of Anzali Port and participation in
this field.
