General Manager of Coast and Port Engineering Department of the Ports and Maritime Organization, referring to the lack of impact of Anzali Port Development Plan on Anzali International Lagoon, said: "The extension of new breakwaters and the return berth of Anzali Port Complex has no effect on the Anzali Lagoon sediments".
Hamid Khalili in an interview with the Public
Relations of the Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province, referring to
the issues raised regarding the negative effects of the extension of new
breakwaters of Anzali Port, said: " With this issue in mind, a team of national experts including university professors
and experts in coastal and port engineering was formed and this issue was
examined by them".
He added: "The results of studies have shown
the ineffectiveness of the extension of breakwaters and the development plan of
Anzali Port on the sediments of the international Lagoon."
General Manager of Coastal Engineering and Ports
of the Ports and Maritime Organization, stating that one of the most important
issues in recent years has been the reduction of the Caspian Sea water level,
noted: "This important issue is not limited to Bandar Anzali and even
other northern ports, but also to all ports in the Caspian Sea Littoral States".
Khalili, referring to the issues raised about the
effects of the return berth (berth number 10) on the sediments of Anzali
International Lagoon, stated: "This berth, like breakwaters, has no
negative impact on this Lagoon and the claims made are unscientific and
unprofessional".
