The chairman of the Guilan Provincial Assembly and the representative of Anzali Port people in the parliament during a 6-hour visit to Anzali Port Complex, referring to the plan to use the full capacity of Anzali Port Complex, said: "creating a ship repair center, building boats, tugs and Caspian and Black Sea type ships are on the agenda of Anzali Port Complex.

Province, on the morning of Thursday, June 11, 2020, Dr. Ahmad Donya Mali;
Chairman of the Assembly of Representatives of Guilan Province and also the
representative of the people of Anzali Port in the parliament met Dr. Hamid
Reza Abaie, the Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan
Province met and then visited the infrastructure and capabilities of Anzali Port
Complex.
On the sidelines of this six-hour visit to the infrastructure of Bandar
Anzali, Donya Mali told reporters that one of the comparative advantages of Anzali
is the establishment and existence of the port, and said: " Given that it is located within the free zone, we should see a change in procedures
compared to the past."
The representative of Anzali Port people in the parliament, stating that at
one time the port was just a place to load and unload the cargo, added:
"But today, with the new features of this port and becoming a free zone,
we must create added value for raw materials and improve the industrial function
of this port and certainly this region has the potential for this and we
believe that with 160 hectares of land and the ability to develop in this port,
we can use the capacity".
The Speaker of the House of Representatives of Guilan Province, emphasizing
that we should use the conditions of sanctions and have more exchanges with the
Caspian littoral states, said: "Due to sanctions and some of the problems that
may arise, we may have to shift some of our activities and programs to barter".
He stated that we should set up industrial units with high manpower capacity
in this port, and specified: "We are actively seeking to return Anzali to
its original position in the field of transportation with the planning and
follow-up."
Referring to the capacity of 15 million tons of Anzali port and not using
its full capacity, Donya Mali added: "We are definitely looking to upgrade
Anzali and return it to its original position in the Caspian Sea."
The Speaker of the House of Representatives of Guilan Province, stating
that we are looking to turn Anzali into a center for ship repair, construction
of vessels and tugs and Caspian and Black Sea type ships, said: "the
proposal to implement this project has been submitted by the private sector and
the board of directors of the Ports and Maritime Organization is assessing the
issue. Certainly, with the implementation of this plan, we can provide the ground
for creating a lot of jobs, which is one of the things that I am constantly
pursuing".
He also referred to the dredging of Bandar Anzali basin by the Ports and
Maritime Organization and continued: "The implementation of this project
is commendable because any dredging operation in this area is in the interest
of Anzali Lagoon and shipping safety, which we are seriously pursuing".
The representative of the people of Anzali in the parliament, stating that
good investments have been made by the private sector in Anzali port, said: "We
are ready for investment by the private sector in this port and as the
representative of the people of Anzali in the parliament, I promise all those
who want to invest in this port that we will solve all their problems in the
field of bureaucracy".
Pointing out that people who are looking to invest in this area should have
the necessary capabilities because the situation is such that there is no
chance for those who want to invest for the first time, he added: "
In this regard, we are looking for those who have work experience in this
field, have working capital and also have the necessary technical
ability".

"Considering the set plans and the follow-ups and efforts made in the
implementation of the work, I hope to see tangible changes in this region in
