Dr. Hamidreza Abaie, the Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province, referring to the launch of a handheld system for loading and unloading operations in Anzali Port Complex, said: "With the launch of this system, in addition to increasing the speed of port operations, services to clients and customers will be facilitated and accelerated".
According to the Public Relations of the Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan
Province, Abaie, referring to the launch of a handheld system for loading and
unloading operations in Anzali Port Complex, stated: " In order to develop e-government services and with the aim of implementing
the principles of customer orientation as well as facilitating, accelerating
and increasing accuracy in loading and unloading operations and tally services,
the handheld system was launched in Anzali Port Complex. In this regard, 20
handheld devices were purchased, installed and commissioned by Aria Banader Iranian
Company as the terminal operator of Anzali Port with the cooperation and
coordination of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province".
He added: "With the operation of this system, performing operational
and documentary services related to loading and unloading the vessels and
trucks - such as issuing tally sheets and receipts - which until now were done
manually and physically, will be performed in a fully mechanized, electronic and
instantaneous manner".
The Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province,
stating that the use of this system, in addition to speeding up operations and
reducing the bureaucracy, will cause the physical removal of paper works,
reduce costs and increase accuracy and precision in doing things, noted: "from
now on, using this electronic platform, the information of tally and loading
and unloading of the vessels and trucks in Anzali Port Complex will be
collected and processed instantly, online and electronically, which certainly
increases the speed of port operations and will facilitate and expedite the
provision of services to clients and customers".
Referring to the importance of port intelligence, Abaie clarified: "Port
intelligence and providing fully electronic services for port customers in
order to save cost and time and improve organizational productivity and cross-border
trade indicators is on our agenda".
