A ceremony was held in the presence of the Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province and the Supervisor of Guilan Customs to appreciate the effective people in accelerating the clearance process and the entry and exit of trucks to Anzali Port Complex.
During the meeting, Hamid Reza Abaie, Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Gilan Province, while thanking the tireless efforts of the staff of the two organizations, said: "Anzali port is the oldest port on the southern shore of the Caspian Sea, which is equipped with modern loading and unloading facilities".
He added: "With proper planning, as well as proper cooperation and coordination between the two organizations, we are witnessing an increase in the amount of loading and unloading and an increase in the arrival of ships, which has led to more prosperity in the Anzali port complex."
The Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province, referring to the importance of the exit door and the appropriate actions of the colleagues of these two organizations during the outbreak of Corona virus and the risky work of each of the two organizations, reported on the performance of Gilan Ports and Maritime Organization in the first six months of this year and pointed out that the operations of loading and unloading goods increased by 53% in the first six months of this year compared to the same period last year and container operations increased by 73% compared to the same period.
Abolghasem Yousefinejad, Supervisor of Guilan Customs, while thanking the interactions of the two executive agencies, said: "Good and effective communication between the two organizations has been able to solve many problems and difficulties in the executive process and on the other hand, creating specialized working groups and field visits and ongoing follow-ups has played an important role in facilitating business dealings for stakeholders".
Referring to the customs performance, he pointed to a 34% increase in weight and a 45% increase in the dollar value of exports in Guilan province compared to the previous year and added: "Imports of basic goods also ncreased by 56% compared to the previous year, and the zealous people of Iran can receive these strategic goods at a lower cost."
It is worth mentioning that in the end, the Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province, along with the Supervisor of Gilan Customs, thanked ten employees of the two organizations who paid special attention to the exit door operations and speeding up the clearance process.
