According to the public relations of the Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province, on Tuesday evening, September 29, Dr. Hamid Reza Abaie , the Director General, met with several freedmen, veterans and families of martyrs of the eight years of holy defense and stating that The martyrs, veterans and freedmen taught us the lessons of freedom and self-sacrifice, he said: "As long as we put these lessons at the forefront of our work, the enemy can not harm the Islamic Republic of Iran".
He added: "Today, the honor and authority of Islamic Iran is owed to the blood of the martyrs and the sacrifice of the freedmen and veterans who stood against the enemy and did not allow our country to fall into the hands of the enemies and sacrificed their lives and existence for the promotion of Islam. "
Referring to the words of the Supreme Leader, "Keeping the memory of the martyrs alive is not less than martyrdom," Abaie said: "The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) has expressed martyrdom as the highest value and said that martyrdom in the way of God is the highest success for the servant."
The Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province stated that today it is our duty to protect the ideals of the martyrs, the culture of self-sacrifice and the achievements of the revolution and the Islamic Republic and continued: "It is the duty of all of us to keep alive the memory of the martyrs and we must pass on the culture of self-sacrifice and martyrdom to the young generation of today's society."
