The Technical and Engineering Deputy of the Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province, referring to the importance of using the ICS, stated: “the Integrated Communication System (ICS) was implemented in the equipment of the MRCC in Anzali Port.”
According to the public relations of Ports and
Maritime Authority of Guilan Province, Mehdi Nikokar, referring to the history
of Anzali Port Complex, stated: “Anzali Port, as an important brand, has been
significant for merchants, traders and shipping lines.”
Stating that the
Anzali Port Complex is providing services to vessels and ships entering and leaving
24 hours a day, he acknowledged: “considering the volume of loading and unloading
the cargo and the amount of traffic of ships and vessels, as well as fishing
boats and the need for the Marine Operations Unit, it is an urgent necessity to
upgrade and use intelligent systems such as the ICS system in the MRCC.”
The Technical and Engineering Deputy of the Ports
and Maritime Affairs of Guilan Province, stating that the ICS system gives the
customer the ability to control and exchange communications with other stations
through software and without the need for the physical nature of the equipment,
noted: “By using this system, all the hardware equipment in MRCC of Anzali
Port, including wireless, NAVTEX, power supplies, AIS, etc., has been
transferred to a room called the technical room so that the operating room
space is free from any frequency effects and noise pollution resulted by moving
equipment such as cooling fans.”
He added: "using this
system, operators only use monitors, mice, keyboards, microphones and desktop
speakers as radio communication tools, and if you need control and monitoring,
you can use tools such as AIS, NAVTEX, etc. without any need to have access to
their hardware.”
Statinh that ICS is designed in such a way that
there is no limit on the number of users of the system, Nikokar reminded: “Just
as system operators have the ability to use wireless sets, it is also possible
for operators based in other locations and senior managers to access these
systems from different office locations.”
The Technical and Engineering Deputy of the Ports
and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province,
stating that the production and use of this equipment was based on local
knowledge, said: "After numerous studies and communication with
knowledge-based companies, this success was achieved and we thank God that all hardware
and software used in this project are made in Iran.”
