The Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province said: “Guilan ports have grown by about 45% in the loading sector and 52% in the unloading sector in the first 9 months of the year compared to the same period last year.”
According to the Public Relations of Ports and Maritime Authority of
Guilan Province, Dr. Hamid Reza Abaie in the meeting of the Working Group for
Development of Non-Oil Exports of Guilan Province, stated that Ports and
Maritime Authority of Guilan Province has redoubled efforts to launch and use
container capacity in import and export. He continued: “Since the beginning of
this year, 5,620 containers have been moved in Guilan ports, of which Anzali,
Astara, and Caspian ports' share were 4,300 TEU, 185 TEU and 1,288 TEU,
respectively.
Stating that more than 60% of the container operations in Guilan
province were from Anzali port, 12% from Astara port and about 27% from Caspian
port, he said:
In order to make the best use of the
conditions of the land border of Astara, we put the use of Ro-Ro ships on the
agenda, and in Anzali Port, we witnessed the mooring of the Ro-Ro ships twice
this year.
The Director General of Ports and
Maritime Authority of Guilan Province, stating that unfortunately no truck has been
assigned to Ro-Ro ships, noted: In the coming days, we will see the arrival of
the RoRo ship in Anzali port. The ship is capable of carrying more than 54
containers of 40-foot trailers.
Referring to the transfer of two suction
devices to the Anzali port complex, Abaie emphasized: “These devices will be
transferred from Bandar Emam to Anzali Port, and we hope to put these devices
into operation by the end of this month.”
Stating that in the last 9 months, 1,550,000
tons of cargo have loaded and unloaded by the maritime transport fleet of Guilan
province- especially Anzali Port, he said: “The share of cereals in this
operation is 57%, wood and boards about 20%, containers 5% and construction
goods and oil 18%.”

Special Economic Zone, stating that about 645 ships have arrived in the ports
of Guilan province, which is a 35% increase over the same period last year,
clarified: “Guilan ports have grown by about 45% in the loading sector and 52%
in the unloading sector in the first 9 months of the year compared to the same
period last year.”
Stating that Anzali Port accounted for 66% of
the share of incoming ships to Guilan province, he said: “Caspian port and
Astara port also have grown about 18% and 16% in this field, respectively.”
