The Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province announced the re-prosperity of Ro-Ro shipping lines in Anzali Port and stated: “Since the beginning of this year, 200 trucks have been unloaded by Ro-Ro ships in Anzali Port.

of Guilan Province, Hamidreza Abaie told reporters on Tuesday, January 5, that
we are witnessing the mooring of Ro-Ro ships in Anzali Port for the third time.
He emphasized: “To develop exports from the ports of the province, we are
looking to use the capacity of these ships in the province and the country.”
He announced the approach of Guilan province
and the country is to the develop exports, especially domestic and agricultural
items, and added: "We intend to use the capacity of Ro-Ro ships to export
agricultural products, cars, etc. from Central Asian countries such as the UAE,
Qatar and Oman to countries like Kazakhstan and Russia and even Uzbekistan and
Kyrgyzstan.”
Stating that the ship, which entered Anzali
port on January 4, unloaded 80 trucks in this port, Abaie noted: “For the first
time after the presence of this ship in Anzali port, we are ready to load export
and transit trucks using the capacity of this ship.”

Province, noting that the necessary coordination has been
provided for the entry of trucks with cargo and driver into the ship,
acknowledged: “We hope that with the coordination of other provincial agencies
and administrations, the necessary measures have been taken to attract more trucks
carrying goods exported from Iran to the Caspian Littoral States, and we are
trying to make the best use of this capacity.”
Stating that this ship will first go to the
Kazakh port of Kuryk and then to the Russian ports of Astrakhan and Olya, he
said: “In this regard, we are looking for the route of goods from Kazakhstan
and Russia to pass through Iran.”
Pointing out that we are planning to launch
this shipping line regularly in Anzali Port, Abaie stated: “In the near future
we should be able to use separate ships to transport cargo directly to Russia
and Kazakhstan.”

Anzali Port with a 100-year history in the
field of maritime transport has always been of a great importance for merchants
and traders of the country and today with 15 berths and the possibility of loading
and unloading 10 million tons of goods per year, is the largest and most
equipped Iranian port on the Caspian Sea. "
This port complex is one of the oldest ports
in Iran and one of the most important and largest ports in the north of the
country which is located in international corridors such as Nostrak and
Trasica, etc. and has long been responsible for a prominent role in the
maritime transport industry with the Caspian Littoral States and European
countries.
The multi-purpose port of Astara, with an area
of 60 hectares, is the first private port in the country and the closest and
most cost-effective route for trade and transportation of goods between Asia, Africa
and Europe and designed for servicing to 2,500 ton ships.
