The Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province informed about the progress of 50% of the infrastructure in the construction stages of Chamkhaleh tourist recreational port and said: “in order for this project to be completed on time, it will need the support of officials and relevant agencies.”
According to
the public relations of the Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province,
Hamid Reza Abaie during his visit to the port of Chamkhaleh on Monday evening,
June 14, in the presence of
the representative of the people of Langarud in the parliament and the director
general of the Civil Engineering and Supervision Department of the Ports and
Maritime Organization, told reporters: “Due to the problems
that have arisen in the supply of materials and stones, we need more funds to
accelerate the project process. A final cost estimate has not yet been made,
but it appears that the funding needed to complete the port is one and a half
times higher than initially expected.”
He added: “The
Ports and Maritime Organization has approved the Bamyan ore and the Lushan ore
has also been reviewed and approved by the consultant. However, the supply of
these materials imposes additional financial costs on the project, and we are
seeking approval from the competent authorities so that we can complete the
project on schedule.”
He said:
"We hope that by solving the problems, the project will be completed on
time and even earlier than the set time, and this will be possible with the
support of the relevant officials and agencies."
Stating that
the project is in the hands of the contractor and the Ports and Maritime
Organization monitors its progress, He said: "Considering the need to
complete this project, the responsible organizations should provide a suitable
platform to attract private sector investors and in the infrastructure sector also
have more support and coordination with the Ports and Maritime Organization.”
During the
visit, the representative of the people of Langarud also described the
proximity to the Caspian Sea as one of the valuable advantages in the north of
the country and said: "This advantage is a rich and valuable potential and
has made us think of using this God-given gift as much as possible.”
Parviz
Mohammadnejad, stating that according to previous plans, the project has had a
good progress, added: “the problems of this project will be solved with the
cooperation of other institutions.”
He continued: “Chamkhaleh
port is defined as a tourist port and this port is one of the sources of wealth
in Guilan province, whether in Langrud or in the plains and upstream of the
mountains, and one of the sources with which we can achieve wealth is the tourist
entry through this port, because it leads to foreign exchange earnings.”
In the end, he
praised the efforts of Abaie- Director General of Ports and Maritime Authority
of Guilan Province – for his follow-ups and closely monitor the progress of the
project of Chamkhaleh tourism port, and said: “By examining the problems and
details of this project, we seek to complete it on time and use more of the
existing capacities in the province, which we hope it will happen as soon as
possible, considering the abilities and good management of the Director General
of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province.”
Creating a
300-meter rock path to reach the bridge and deck, building a breakwater at a
depth of 5 meters, taking into account the flow of sea water and environmental
issues, creating two breakwaters at a distance of 400 meters from the shore to
extract two hectares and construction a four-hectare basin for water, sea and
boating sports and other water sports is one of the measures taken in
Chamkhaleh port, and by exploiting this project, the necessary ground for the
development of the maritime tourism industry and the creation of the necessary infrastructure
and hoteling conditions and hospitality of guests will be provided in Guilan
province.
Langrud city is
located 60 km from the center of Guilan province and with a population of more
than 140,000 people, is one of the tourist areas of this province.
