Two port research projects were unveiled in Chamkhaleh recreation and tourism port in the presence of the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts.
According to
the public relations of the Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province,
this morning, Friday, May 28, the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and
Handicrafts visited the construction process and development of Chamkhaleh
recreational-tourism port. He promised to make the necessary favorable promises
to attract investors and support of the government board in the construction
and purchase of domestic and foreign cruise ships.
The Director
General of Ports and Maritime Authority of Guilan Province stated regarding
these projects: “The Ports and Maritime Organization, using the potential of
Tarbiat Modares University, examined the comprehensive document on ports and
maritime affairs based on the existing documents as well as photos and evidence
on the location of Guilan ports in the Caspian Sea.”
Dr. Hamidreza Abaie,
referring to the important documents found in this research, added: "The
condition of ports in previous centuries was evaluated during the research and
field interviews, and as a result of this research, it was found that Anzali
port is 300 years old and it was very prosperous."
He described
the next study plan as reviewing the historical document of the sunken boat
discovered in Talesh Qarooq Coast and noted:
"Research operations were carried out on this cultural heritage of the
port and navigation, and according to this historical document, the
exploitation of sea resources in Guilan province was approved."
He invited
investors to develop the maritime tourism industry and reminded: "the
government has so far invested about 50 billion tomans to develop
infrastructure in the recreational tourism port of Chamkhaleh, and now two of
the three main phases of the complex have been completed."
Abaie referred
to the creating of a 300-meter rock path
to reach the bridge and deck, building a breakwater at a depth of 5 meters,
taking into account the flow of sea water and environmental issues, creating
two breakwaters at a distance of 400 meters from the shore to extract two
hectares and construction a four-hectare basin for water, sea and boating
sports and other water sports is one of the measures taken in Chamkhaleh port,
and by exploiting this project, the necessary ground for the development of the
maritime tourism industry and the creation of the necessary infrastructure and
hoteling conditions and hospitality of guests will be provided in Guilan
province.
The Director
General of Ports and Maritime of Guilan emphasized: “We must provide the
necessary ground for the development of the maritime tourism industry in order
to create infrastructure and provide hoteling and hospitability conditions for
the development of the tourism industry in Guilan Province.”
It is worth
mentioning that the construction stages of Chamkhaleh tourist recreational port
began in February 2019 in Langarud city and now it has made 50% progress in
terms of creating infrastructure.
